Front Office Volunteer

The front office volunteer position has a variety of tasks available based on abilities. We have simple tasks that anyone can do, such as shredding, envelope stuffing, photocopying, or making packets. We also have other tasks utilizing computer skills or other skills at a higher level. All the support position tasks for front office are usually behind-the-scenes, and would not involve patient interaction. The front office volunteer is responsible to the office manager. Minimum commitment is for a year. We require one shift weekly – a shift being either 9:00 am to 1:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Medical Records Volunteer

The medical records volunteer assists in the sorting, scanning, and importing of paper medical records into patients’ EMR (electronic medical record). This position does not involve patient interaction, but is a ‘behind-the-scenes’ task. It requires good computer skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stay focused in a busy work atmosphere. Experience is not required; we will train if you have the skills. The medical records volunteer is responsible to the office manager. Minimum commitment is for a year. We require one shift weekly – a shift being either 9:00 am to 1:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. If possible, it is ideal to be available two shifts weekly through the initial training process.

Volunteer Medical Provider

Medical doctors and nurse practitioners are continually needed to provide primary care in partnership with Christ Clinic staff and other volunteers. The Volunteer Medical Provider is responsible to the office manager while volunteering at Christ Clinic. Duties are similar to our anchor provider duties. Minimum commitment: one year; serving one or more 3-4 hour shifts per week; 9:00 am to 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Nurse/MA Volunteer

The Nurse/MA Volunteer can set the tone for a positive visit with the practitioner. The overall responsibility of the Nurse/MA Volunteer is to assist practitioners in the efficient, timely, courteous assessment and treatment of patients by performing procedures and duties within the scope of their practice. The Nurse/MA Volunteer is responsible to the Nurse Manager while working a shift. Minimum commitment: one year; serving at least two or more 4 hour shifts per month; 8:15 am to 11:30 am or 12:45 pm to 4:45 pm.
